VIDO-InterVac scientists receive $1M in Agriculture Funding

Five VIDO-InterVac researchers were collectively awarded more than $1 million in funding from the Agriculture Development Fund.

Drs' Jose Perez Casal, Philip Griebel, Suresh Tikoo, Arshud Dar and Alexander Zakhartchouk from the University of Saskatchewan’s Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization – International Vaccine Centre were collectively awarded more than $1 million in funding from the Agriculture Development Fund towards the research and development of novel vaccines to benefit livestock and poultry producers. Funding was announced by Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz and Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister Lyle Stewart on January 23, 2013.
