
Dr. Pooja Choudhary PhD
Dr. Pooja Choudhary is a Project Manager at VIDO, where she oversees a range of projects specializing in preclinical vaccine and therapeutics studies, as well as the development of animal models for infectious diseases. With a wealth of expertise in vaccine development, novel adjuvant formulations, and animal efficacy studies, Dr. Choudhary brings invaluable experience to her role.
Prior to her current position, Dr. Choudhary was a MITACS Industrial Post-doctoral Fellow at VIDO. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Saskatchewan. Her academic journey is complemented by her background as a clinical biochemist in India, where she managed an automated clinical biochemistry laboratory and implemented ISO-certified quality assurance programs in a tertiary care teaching hospital.
In addition to her professional endeavors, she actively participates in various committees, including the AAVI Nomination Committee, VIDO Safety Committee, USask Animal Ethics Research Board (2021-2023), and USask New/Distinguished Research Award Committee (2022).
