Bryce Warner

Dr. Bryce Warner was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He completed his BSc (Hon) and his MSc in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Saskatchewan. He completed his PhD in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Manitoba in 2020. Following his PhD, Bryce worked as a research biologist in the Special Pathogens program at the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg, focusing on developing animal models for high consequence viruses and using those models to evaluate candidate vaccines and therapeutics. He joined VIDO in 2024 as a research scientist focusing on Hantavirus biology, including virus-reservoir host interactions and vaccine and therapeutic testing. He is also interested in vaccine development for respiratory viruses, specifically mucosal vaccines.

- Viral transmission and ecology of rodent-borne viruses
