George Mutwiri
Vaccine Formulation & Delivery Group
Dr. George Mutwiri earned his DVM from the University of Nairobi, Kenya in 1985 and his PhD from the University of Guelph, Ontario Canada in 1994. He completed postdoctoral training at the University of California before joining VIDO. Dr. Mutwiri is also a Professor at the University of Saskatchewan’s School of Public Health. His areas of expertise include immunology, infectious diseases, vaccinology and immunotherapeutics.

- Development of vaccines for infectious diseases
- Improving vaccines through formulation and delivery
- Discovery and development of vaccine adjuvants
- Understanding the mechanisms of action of adjuvants
