Dr. Liu received his BSc and MSc degrees in Microbiology at Nankai University in China and PhD in Virology at Justus Liebig University in Germany. He joined VIDO as a Principal Scientist in 2003. Dr. Liu is an adjunct professor at the University of Saskatchewan’s Department of Veterinary Microbiology and School of Public Health, and an associate member of the Biomedical Engineering Division, College of Engineering. His expertise includes virology and vaccinology.
